German paratroopers in Eastern Ukraine?

According to German “Bild” tabloid, Germany’s armed forces (“Bundeswehr“) plan to deploy troops in Eastern Ukraine. The paper reports that 200 German paratroopers are preparing for a possible deployment in the conflict area. Their task would to support the OSCE in observing the current cease-fire that has been violated regularly since it became valid.

The support of an OSCE-mission has been earlier discussed by German chancellor Angela Merkel and French president François Hollande at the recent NATO summit in Wales.

A deployment of armed German soldiers even in terms of an OSCE-mission is expected to require approval by the German parliament.
