The Russian government is suspected to finance French right-wing party National Front with a total of 40 Million Euros. The nationalist party has already received a 9 Million Euro credit from the “First Czech Russian Bank” which is controlled by instances close to Russian president Vladimir Putin. This is reported by the French news magazine Mediapart.
The National Front is accounted to be one of the biggest critics of EU-sanctions against Russians. Western media speculates that this is part of a larger Russian plan to strengthen inner European opposition against the European Union.
It also greatly shows what it is all about (also in Ukraine ans soon maybe in Moldavia): geostrategic and geoeconomic interests, mostly not really about “fascists” that are sitting in Kiev or Brussels. The term “fascist” seems to be rather overused anyway.
