According to Russian media quoting residents of Donetsk, the city was again under artillery fire on 8 January (English translation further below). Also Ukrainian media reports that units of the central government have come under indirect fire yesterday. Also discussions in Twitter suggest that mutual (!) shelling continued yesterday as the tweets below show.

Also the latest OSCE report which does not cover events of 8 January and earlier articles indicate that the ceasefire is constantly being breached though fights seem not to be as intensive as a few months ago.
The English translation of the Russian media article (FAN – Federalnoe Agentstvo Novosti) below was provided by George B:
“Residents of Donetsk report periodic shelling of the city
Donetsk, 8th January. Residents of Donetsk report shelling of residential areas of the city, which continued all Thursday. According to the residents, Ukrainian forces have blocked the Slavyansk – Donetsk intercity coach route.
“There was a heavy barrage from 12pm Moscow time – 2 or 3 shells were coming in every 10-20 seconds. After that, at 2pm, it started to quiet down to one explosion every two minutes, then one every five minutes, and at 4pm it went completely quiet. An hour later again there were a couple of explosions. From 5 to 7pm the Ukrainian artillery took a break. At 7 they opened fire again, on Topaz, Dok and Smolyanka,” stated a resident of Donetsk, whom the rebels of Novorossiya have quoted in their reports.
According to him, the Ukrainian troops have blocked the inter-city coach route Donetsk – Slavyansk. “The National Guard are forcing all the coaches from Donetsk to Konstantinovka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk to go around Kuraxovo and Krasnoarmeysk in a loop, which has at least doubled the time on the road,” he explained.
According to information from the Ministry of Defence of the Donetsk People’s Republic, during the course of the day Ukrainian soldiers breached the ceasefire in Donbass about 10 times. “Today (Thursday), from 10 till 5 there were about 10 incidences of shelling of our positions and the outskirts of Donetsk by the Ukrainian armed forces – half as many as last night,” the Donetsk News Agency quotes the Department of Defence.
The DPR Ministry of Defence also added that Ukrainian forces fired ‘on the airport, the outskirts of Donetsk, on Gorlovka and on the village of Telmanovo from tanks, artillery and grenade launchers.’
For their part, at the ATO press centre, spokesmen reported that the situation in Donbass ‘remains complex’. ‘Beginning at 11:30 (12:30 Moscow Time), illegal armed formations opened fire on our troops’ positions 16 times, using mainly heavy weapons – mortars and artillery, including Grad rocket launchers’ – a press centre post on Facebook reads.
It is noted that rebels fired on Donetsk airport, and also the settlements Avdeyevka, Peski, Beryozovoye, Tonenkoye and Opytnoe twice, with mortars. ‘They shelled Krymskoe village, in the direction of Lugansk, with mortars twice,’ the soldiers summed up.“
